Chihuahua Rehoming
rehoming a dog or puppy?
Just recently my beloved chihuahua Milly died at the young age of 9. I am currently looking at getting another dog, and even though i am a great big hulking geezer, i am bewitched by all breeds of dog, especially small ones that can sit on my lap!
Anyhow, i can’t really afford upwards of £1000 for a puppy, though i can afford to carte for it, it’s jsut that inital payment that’s stymied me.
So i was looking at Gumtree and such sites for people who may be selling a puppy and i’ve seen ads for people wanting to give away puppies for free to good homes. Just today i’ve seen Jack Russels and a Dogue De Bordeaux on there.
Is getting a dog for free from there a good idea or should i aim at the PDSA / RSPCA? It’s just if i go to them i feel like their inspectors will judge my house as being not posh or something!

I would say go to the RSPCA/PDSA or if you can Battersea as you know the Dogs are Healthy and have the right temperament for you and don’t worry about the inspectors as i have a Jack Russell that we adopted from Battersea and we had building works and builders going in and out of our house but they still let us adopt her as long as the front door wasn’t always open. So I would say adopt. Hope i helped 
(BTW its only £105 to adopt any dog from Battersea)
